Orders to Korea specifications

Due to the regulations on AliExpress, all the orders to Korea must contain a 10 or 11-digits phone number starting with 01 or 1, otherwise, the orders cannot be placed to AliExpress.

You can change the phone number to the correct one on DSers easily, here’s how.

Manually Changing Phone Number

Deactivate DSers’ Override phone number feature first on DSers – Setting – Other.

Delete the phone number you entered before and click on Save.

Go to DSers – Open.

On the Awaiting order tab, find the order for which you want to change the phone number according to AliExpress’ regulation, then click on Customer Detail from the top right corner of the order.

Enter a phone number that is 10 or 11-digits and starts with 01 or 1. Don’t forget to Save the changes.

Now you can place the order like you normally would.

Override phone number feature

Another way you can change the phone number is to use the Override phone number feature.

Go to DSers – Setting – Other - Override phone number.

Select the country and enter a phone number that is 10 or 11-digits and starts with 01 or 1, then click on Save.

Custom Clearance Information

Due to AliExpress new requirements, all orders to Korea must include the Custom Clearance Information.

To make sure your customers from Korea include this number in their orders, you will need to slightly modify your store theme to add a “CCI field” in the customer information checkout page.

You can do this in two ways, depending on if all your customers are from Korea, or not. Let’s see how to do so below:

Modifying the theme

Go to Shopify backend page, and access Online Store – Themes – Actions – Edit languages

Go to Checkout & System

Find the Checkout contact part

If you want to make this CCI mandatory, you need to fill in the Company label field like below.

This means that all your customers placing orders will need to enter their Custom Clearance Information, so it’s better to use this only if you are targeting Korea exclusively.

If you want to make this CCI optional, you need to fill in the Optional company label field like below.

This means that your customers outside of Korea will not need to enter their Custom Clearance Information, it’s better to use this if you are targeting customers from different countries.

Once you selected and filled in the desired field, make sure to Save

Modifying the settings

Now, we need to make sure this field appears in your store checkout page.

Go to Settings - Checkout

In the Form options part, select Required or Optional, depending if you previously filled in the Company label or the Optional company label.

Then don’t forget to Save

In your checkout page, the (optional) field to enter the CCI will now appear!

Personal Clearance ID

And in the Payment details page, there will be a non-optional field called “Additional Information” where your customers need to fill in their Personal Clearance ID (If they are Korean native) or Alien Registration Card Number (If they are foreigners living in Korea).

Personal Clearance ID:The personal clearance unique code consists of a 12-digit number starting with P. Fill in this field if the customer is a native Korean.

Passport/ Alien registration Card Number:Please enter your Passport or Alien registration card number. Fill in this field if the customer is NOT a native Korean.

📕 NOTE: If you previously deleted this field in your settings, you need to contact the Shopify customer service team to add it back.

This information will be added in the order on DSers as shown below

This will ensure that you have all the necessary information to process your orders without issues!
