Why you can't simply delete an order in DSers—and the right way to cancel, refund, or reorder

Note

Orders get canceled for various reasons—what matters is handling them correctly. This article helps you identify your cancellation scenario and directs you to the right step-by-step guide.

Quick Decision Guide

Your Goal What to Do
Issue a final refund with no replacement Cancel in your store → then leave those orders alone
Remove a test or unwanted order from your dashboard Archive (if in Fulfilled) or Mark as Fulfilled (if in Awaiting order)

Scenario 1: Cancel/Refund in Your Store

Use this when: You're issuing a final refund and do not plan to reorder.

What to do:

Go to Shopify Orders → click the order → More actionsCancel order. After cancellation, the order moves to the Canceled tab in DSers automatically.

Warning: Order cancellation is irreversible and will refund your customer. Once canceled in your store, you cannot reorder it through DSers.

For detailed instructions, see Cancel a Shopify paid order.

Scenario 2: Remove an Order from Your Dashboard

Use this when: You want to clean up test orders or unwanted orders from your active view.

What to do:

  • If in Awaiting order: Click Mark as Fulfilled → moves to Fulfilled.
  • If in Fulfilled: Click Archive on the Navigator Bar to remove it from Open order view.
Tip: You cannot delete an order from DSers.
This is by design—ensuring full traceability for your business.

What If the Supplier Canceled the Order?

If the supplier canceled the order on their side—not you—this article won't help. Instead, you'll need to respond based on the cancellation reason and where the order was placed.

  • How to enable and find cancellation alerts
  • Whether to reorder from the same supplier, switch to a new one, or contact support
