Automated Mapping: Match Products Faster, Skip the Manual Work

Stop manually matching variant names—set custom rules so DSers does the work for you.

Note

Manual matching is time-consuming and error-prone.
Even when supplier option names match your store exactly, you still have to select each variant one by one—and the more options (colors, sizes), the longer it takes.
If names don't match (e.g., "US Plug" vs "US Standard"), the risk of shipping the wrong item increases.

This article explains how Automated Mapping works, what you can set up, and how to verify it's working.

What Is Automated Mapping?

Automated Mapping allows you to define rules once, and DSers will automatically match your store's product SKUs to a supplier's for all future mappings—saving you from manual variant pairing.

Two automation rules run in the background by default—setting the first imported product as the default supplier and auto-matching exact variant names—so you save time with zero extra setup.

How to Set Up Automated Mapping

Go to DSers > Settings > Automated Mapping. Two settings are available for you to customize.

Setting 1: Mismatched Option Value Mapping

Why you need it:

Different countries use different sizing standards. A "China Size 38" might be labeled as "US Size 7" by your supplier. Instead of manually mapping these every time, you can teach DSers the relationship once.

How to set it up: Enter your store's option value in the left column and the corresponding supplier option value in the right column. DSers will apply this rule to future imports.

Example: Your store says "China Size 38," supplier says "US Size 7"—add this pair once, and DSers handles it automatically from then on.

Store Product Option Value Supplier Product Option Value
China Size 36 US Size 5
China Size 37 US Size 6
China Size 38 US Size 7
China Size 39 US Size 8
China Size 40 US Size 9
Important: Automated Mapping is designed to save you time, but it's always a good practice to double-check your mappings before placing orders.
DSers follows the rules you set—it doesn't verify supplier option accuracy. We recommend testing a few products first to confirm everything maps correctly before scaling up.

Setting 2: Default Agent for Newly Imported Store Products

What it does: This is a store-specific setting—each linked store can select one default Agent for newly imported store products.

Tips: This setting is only available if you have the Agent module enabled on your account.

Agents are your own private suppliers—they're not from AliExpress or other public platforms, giving you more control over sourcing and pricing.

How to Check If It's Working

Automated Mapping takes effect when you import a new product link or remap existing products.

To verify:

  1. Go to My Products.
  2. Import a new product from your supplier.
  3. Check the Mapping Details—if the options match your rules, the variant mapping will appear as "supplier SKU selected" automatically.
