Fulfill Your First Order: A Step-by-Step Walkthrough

From customer payment to AliExpress delivery – follow these 4 steps, then let DSers handle the rest automatically.

This guide assumes you've already connected your Shopify store to DSers, imported a product, and received your first paid order from a customer.

Step-by-step: Placing your first order

Once your customer pays on Shopify, don't go to AliExpress directly. Start in DSers.

Step 1 – Go to DSers → Awaiting Order

Open DSers in your Shopify admin. The new order will appear automatically in the Awaiting Order tab (DSers → Orders → Awaiting Order).

Step 2 – Select a shipping method and click "Place Order"

Before placing the order, choose a shipping option provided by your supplier.

Once selected, click "Place Order" – DSers will immediately create an unpaid order on AliExpress for you.

Step 3 – Click "Make Payment" and pay on AliExpress

In DSers, click "Make Payment". DSers will redirect you to your AliExpress Unpaid Order tab.

On AliExpress, locate the order and click "Pay Now" to complete the payment.

That's the last manual step.

What happens after you pay on AliExpress

Once your supplier ships the order:

• ✅ DSers syncs the tracking number from AliExpress
• ✅ DSers sends it to Shopify
• ✅ Shopify marks the order as Fulfilled
• ✅ Shopify triggers the tracking email to your customer

You don't need to copy or paste anything.

How often does DSers sync tracking numbers?

DSers automatically syncs order data from AliExpress 5 times per day.

That means:

• Most tracking numbers will appear within a few minutes of the supplier shipping.
• You don't need to refresh or manually check.

Need the tracking number sooner?

First, check if your supplier has shipped the order:

• Go to AliExpress → find the order → check if a tracking number is available.

If the supplier has shipped but DSers hasn't synced the tracking number yet:

1. Go to DSers → Open Order tab
2. Find the order and click "Sync AliExpress Order"
3. Click "Sync via API" – DSers will immediately pull the tracking number from AliExpress

⚠️ This only forces DSers to check for the tracking number now instead of waiting for the next scheduled sync.

It does not make the supplier ship faster.

If the supplier hasn't shipped the order yet, there won't be a tracking number to sync.

In that case, the fastest way is to contact the supplier directly on AliExpress and politely ask when they'll ship.

Important – Do I need to wait for the sync?

No.

Once you've paid on AliExpress, you can close the browser and move on.

DSers will pick up the tracking number and update Shopify automatically.

Some new dropshippers worry they have to "tell" DSers when the supplier ships.

You don't. DSers checks AliExpress for you – automatically, on a schedule.
