Change the quantity of an order

If your customer wants to change an order quantity after you receive it in your store, check and follow the solutions below before you place it to the supplier.

How to change the quantity of an order

To change the quantity of an order, you need to go to your store to make some changes.

Method 1: Change the number of products in your order

  1. Login to Shopify > Orders.
  2. Click on the order for which you want to change the quantity.
  3. On the order details page, click Edit on the top right.
  4. On the Edit order page, click Adjust quantity.
  5. In the Pop-up, fill in the Quantity field with a new number and click Done.
  6. Click Update order.
    Due to the quantity change in an order, you may refund your customer and decide whether to send a notification or get additional payment from the customer and whether to send an invoice.

Method 2: Duplicate your order and change the quantity

  1. Login to Shopify > Orders.
  2. Click the order for which you desire to change the number of items.
  3. On the order details page, click Edit on the top right.
  4. Click More actions at the top right and click Duplicate in the Drop-down menu.
  5. On the newly-created order details page, adjust the number in the Quantity field.
  6. Click Collect payment and click Mark as paid.
  7. In the Pop-up, click Create order.

You can manually fulfill the original order on Shopify or on DSers, so that it doesn't bother you anymore.
    As you duplicate an order and fulfill the original order, the Shopify Orders and Shopify Sales in the DSers Report will be affected.
In case you don’t want to change the quantity of an order in the future, you can promote upselling such as BOGO and Bundle products.
