Change the quantity of an order

If your customer wants to change an order quantity after you receive it in your store, check and follow the solutions below before you place it to the supplier.

Method 1: Change the number of products in your order

1. Login to Shopify > Orders.
2. Click on the order for which you want to change the quantity.
3. On the order details page, click Edit on the top right.
4. On the Edit order page, click Adjust quantity.
5. In the Pop-up, fill in the Quantity field with a new number and click Done.
6. Click Update order.

Method 2: Duplicate your order and change the quantity

1. Login to Shopify > Orders.
2. Click the order for which you desire to change the number of items.
3. On the order details page, click Edit on the top right.
4. Click More actions at the top right and click Duplicate in the Drop-down menu.
5. On the newly-created order details page, adjust the number in the Quantity field.
6. Click Collect payment and click Mark as paid.
7. In the Pop-up, click Create order.

You can manually fulfill the original order on Shopify or on DSers, so that it doesn't bother you anymore. In case you don’t want to change the quantity of an order in the future, you can promote upselling such as BOGO and Bundle products.

Method 1: Change the number of products in your order

1. Login to WooCommerce > Orders.
2. Click on the order for which you need to change the product quantity.
3. On the Edit order page, change the status to On hold or Pending payment in the Status field under General.
4. Click Update in the Order actions part.
5. In the Item section, click the Edit icon on the item card of the item for which you need to change the quantity.
6. Change the number in the Qty field and click Save.
7. Change the status to the previous one in the Status field in the Custom Fields part.
8. Click Update in the Order actions part.

Method 2: Create a new order

1. Login to WooCommerce > Orders.
2. Click Add order.
3. On the Edit order page, change the status to Processing in the Status field in the Custom Fields part.
4. Fill in information the same as that of the original order in the Billing and Shipping parts.
5. Click Add item (s) and click Add product (s).
6. In the Pop-up, add the same product your original order has and change the quantity according to your customer’s need.
7. Click Add.
8. Click Create in the Order actions.

For the original order, just manually fulfill the original order in your store or on DSers to avoid repeated orders.

You can set up BOGO or Bundle offers to avoid the situation.

1. Login to Wix > Orders.
2. Click Add New Order.
3. On the New Order Page, click Add Product.
4. In the Pop-up, choose the same product and click Add.
5. Adjust the number in the QTY field.
6. Fill in information the same as that of the original order in the Customer details and Shipping and discounts parts.
7. Click Create Order at the top right.

To enable you not to deal with the original order, just manually fulfill the original order in your store or on DSers.
