Add a variation to a product

You may find yourself in a situation where you need to add a variation to one of your products.

In the following guide, we will show you how to add a variation in two cases:
1. Adding a new variation from the same supplier you are currently using
2. Adding a new variation from another supplier

Adding Variation To Your Product

Go to DSers – My Products.

Click Open in WooCommerce on the product card.

The Edit product page will open on WooCommerce.

Scroll down to Product data and click Attributes.

Select an attribute where you want to add a variation.

In the Value(s) box, you can enter the name of the new variation you want to add.

Type in the new variation name you want to add.

Don’t forget to Save attributes.

When you are finished editing the product, scroll up and click on Update on the top right corner.

Mapping From The Same Supplier

Go back to DSers – My Products and access the Mapping Page on the product card.

You can see the newly added variation appears in the product but is empty.

You can map the newly added variation with your current supplier if he or she sells it.

Don’t forget to Save when you are done!

Mapping From Another Supplier

In case your current supplier doesn’t sell the newly added variation, you can import another supplier that sells it.

Go to AliExpress and copy the URL of a product with the variation you newly added.

Paste the URL in the Import box and click on Import.

The new supplier will appear in the Alternate Products column, click on Set.

Select Second option and click CONFIRM.

The new supplier product’s variations will appear next to your current supplier, but are empty.

You need to map the Attribute and the newly added variation.

Make sure you map all the other attributes’ variations too.

With this mapping, the second supplier will only be used to sell the Coffee color variation you just added.

Don’t forget to Save!

Now you understand how to add a new variation for your current products.

Utilize it to offer more variety of products to your customers.
