Send tracking number manually

In case you want to send the tracking number manually, please read the guide below:

Unfulfilled order

You can manually update and send the tracking number to your customers on Shopify.

For example, if you want to send the tracking number for an unfulfilled order on Shopify, you should do the followings:

Find the order for which you want to send the tracking number manually and click on it.

Click Fulfill item on the order details page.

Enter your tracking number, select the Shipping carrier accordingly, and input the Tracking URL under the Tracking Information and check the box to Send shipment details to your customer now. Then, click on Fulfill item.

Now, Shopify will send an email with the tracking information you just updated to your customer.

Also, the order has been updated with the tracking number.

Fulfilled order without tracking number

If you want to send the tracking number for a fulfilled order currently without a tracking number, first find the order in your Orders list and click on it.

Then click Add tracking on the orders details page.

Update your tracking number, select the Shipping carrier accordingly, and check the box to Send notification email to customer. Don’t forget to save!

A notification like below will show up.

Now, Shopify will send the tracking information you just inputted to your customer.

Also, the order has been updated with the tracking number.

Fulfilled order with tracking number

If you want to send the tracking number for a fulfilled order currently which already has a tracking number, first find the order in your Order list and click on it.

Then the icon below on the order details page and select Edit tracking.

Update the new tracking information and save.

An email with the new tracking number will be sent to your customer.
