In the case that you have got the tracking numbers from suppliers, you’d better send fulfillment notification emails to customers to notify them about the order shipping details. Email Settings allows you to customize the tracking information in the shipping confirmation notification emails and send emails to your customers automatically.
For one thing, you can easily manage the information that will appear in fulfillment notification emails. For another, DSers helps you trigger shipping confirmation emails sent to customers once tracking numbers are generated.
Scroll to the Fulfillment Settings section, and access the Shopify tab and scroll to the Email Settings part.
Click to the right of the store for which you want to activate the feature.
Turn on to the right of "Activate fulfillment notification email sent by Shopify" to trigger automatic emails.
In the same line of "Shipping carrier", click on the Selector and choose your wanted shipping carrier in the Drop-down menu.
If you choose Default, Shopify will automatically select the shipping carrier according to tracking numbers from suppliers.
In the same line of "Custom Tracking Url", click on the Selector and choose your wanted tracking website in the Drop-down menu.
If you want to customize the tracking service, you can choose Custom in the Drop-down menu and enter your own tracking URL in the Input box and click OK.
Click SAVE.
Now, after orders are shipped out, DSers will synchronize tracking numbers from your supplier to Shopify and trigger the emails sent to customers.
There are two methods you can use to activate shipped order tracking for your customers.
Scroll to the Fulfillment Settings section, and access the WooCommerce tab and scroll to the Email Settings part.
Turn on to the right of the store for which you want to send emails automatically.
(Optional) You can fill in your email in the Input box under "From" address: and click Save to set the sender email address.
(Optional) You have the option to choose the email language under Template and click Select.
At the last part of the page, click to the right of the store for which you need to set the shipping carrier and tracking provider.
In the same line of "Shipping carrier", click on the Selector and choose your wanted shipping carrier in the Drop-down menu.
If you want to customize the shipping provider, you can choose Custom in the Drop-down menu and enter your wanted shipping provider in the Input box and click SAVE.
In the same line of "Tracking URL", click on the Selector and choose your wanted tracking website in the Drop-down menu.
If you want to customize the tracking service, you can choose Custom in the Drop-down menu and enter your own tracking URL in the Input box and click SAVE.
Turn on to the right of "Include tracking information in the email".
Click SAVE.
DSers will automatically trigger WordPress to send an email to your customer with tracking information included when an order is moved to Fulfilled in DSers.
Method 2: Set fulfillment notification emails on WooCommerce
The Shipment Tracking extension is a third-party extension on WooCommerce that allows you to synchronize & edit tracking information and include it in the emails sent to customers.
You can go to Extensions > Customer Service > Post-Purchase Services in the official WooCommerce website or directly follow here to buy the extension and install it in your WooCommerce store to enjoy the benefits. Once installed, check the steps below to activate the feature.
Click Emails and click Manage to the right of Completed order.
Check the Enable this email notification checkbox and click Save changes.
Click WooCommerce > Orders.
Click on one order to access the Edit Order page and find the Shipment Tracking part.
Click Add Tracking Info and input tracking numbers and select one shipping provider. (Or edit the tracking information in the Tracking Information part in DSers > Settings > Email and the extension will synchronize it.)
Click Save Tracking.
Once your orders are Completed on WooCommerce, the emails with tracking information will be sent to your customers.
Due to the Wix rules, it is required that the shipping carrier and tracking URL should be synchronized to Wix along with tracking numbers. Therefore, DSers has set Canada post as the shipping carrier and 17Track as the tracking URL by default. You can modify it whenever you want.
Scroll to the Fulfillment Settings section, and access the Wix tab and scroll to the Email Settings part.
Click to the right of the store for which you want to activate the feature.
In the same line of "Shipping carrier", click on the Selector and choose your wanted shipping carrier in the Drop-down menu.
In the same line of "Tracking Url", click on the Selector and choose your wanted tracking website in the Drop-down menu.
If you want to customize the tracking service, you can choose Custom in the Drop-down menu and enter your own tracking URL in the Input box and click OK.
Click SAVE.
Now, your fulfillment notification emails will be sent to buyers when orders fulfilled on Wix based on your settings here.
