Due to the customs regulations, you need to make sure all orders to Brazil, Korea or Chile contain additional customs clearance information in Customer Detail as below. Otherwise, the orders cannot be placed to your suppliers.
Country Required Tax ID Type
Brazil CPF
Chile RUT
South Korea CCI (Customs Clearance Information)
Turkey Turkish ID Number
Israel Identity Number
Mexico RFC / CURP
Peru RUC
Oman RUC / Omani Tax ID
Argentina CUIL / CUIT
⚠️ Critical for Brazil & South Korea: For these two countries, the tax ID alone isn't enough—the customer's name must match the tax ID exactly, so customers need to provide their full legal name at checkout.

How to meet special customs clearance requirements

Shopify WooCommerce Wix
For orders to Brazil and some orders to Korea, there is a required field called "Additional Information" on the Shopify checkout page where your customers can fill in the customs clearance information. DSers will help you synchronize that automatically.

For orders to other countries mentioned above, there is no field for your customers to fill in the customs clearance information, you will need to add a field manually. Here's how.

Step 1: Modifying the Themes

  1. Login to Shopify > Online Store > Themes.
  2. Click the Three-dot icon and click Edit default theme content in the Dawn section.
  3. Click Checkout & System and find the Checkout contact part.
  4. Fill in the corresponding field as follow:
    1. If you are targeting exclusively the countries mentioned above, you should fill in the Company label box with the corresponding tax ID name (e.g., RUT, Custom Clearance Information (CCI), RUC, etc.). This means all customers placing orders from these countries will be required to enter this field.
    2. If you are doing business in several different countries including the ones mentioned above, you should fill in the Optional company label box with the same tax ID names. This allows customers outside those countries to dismiss the field.
    3. Click Save.

    Step 2: Modifying the settings

    1. Login to Shopify > Settings > Checkout.
    2. Scroll to the Customer information section.
    3. Under the Company name part, select dsers-radio-button-unchecked Required if you fill in the Company label box or dsers-radio-button-unchecked Optional if you fill in the Optional company label box.
    4. Click Save.

Once done with the settings above, DSers will now help you synchronize the information to the corresponding fields in Customer Detail.
