Oberlo migration-Shipping Confirmation

The Shipping confirmation email feature in DSers allows you to control if DSers should trigger Shopify to send out a shipping confirmation email when the orders are fulfilled and the tracking information shown on the shipping confirmation email.

How does DSers migrate Shipping confirmation settings from Oberlo?

DSers will migrate the “Notify customers about shipped order” feature from Oberlo to the “Shipping confirmation” feature on DSers. The two features are largely identical but with minor differences. DSers migrate each information based on the below logic:

Trigger Shopify to send an email when orders are fulfilled

DSers will set up the feature based on if you activate the feature on Oberlo.

Tracking URL

On Oberlo you need to manually fill in a tracking URL in the field while on DSers we provide a list with often used tracking URLs as well as a user-defined field for you to fill in.

Hence, DSers will check if what you set up on Oberlo matches any option with the DSers list. If yes, the option will be automatically selected on DSers, if not, DSers will fill in your Oberlo tracking URL in the user-defined field on DSers. 

Shipping carrier

Oberlo does not have this feature on the user interface while DSers has the feature. However, as you may know, the shipping confirmation email triggered by Oberlo shows the shipping carrier as “Other”. So once you migrated to DSers, you will find Shipping carrier is set to “Other” as default.

DSers supports you to set up a shipping carrier based on your needs. “Other” is also an option on DSers if you don’t want to choose any carrier on the list.

Oberlo provides a field for you to customize tracking URL 

DSers provides both often-used tracking URL options and customized fields for you to fill in.
